Jean Thébault (b. 1985, Lorraine) began learning glassblowing in 2007, training at Cristalleries Baccarat and the CERFAV glass school. He moved to Denmark in 2012, earning a Bachelor in Art from the Danish Design School in Bornholm (2016), and managed Glasmuseet Ebeltoft from 2017–2021. His work has been shown in Denmark, Sweden, England, Japan, France, Germany, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. He now runs JANO-GLASS in France, with a practice inspired by geological cycles and natural processes such as volcanism and erosion, exploring glass as a metaphor for sustainability.
