Stephen Bradbourne (Auckland) graduated in Craft Design from Carrington Polytechnic in 1991. In 1992 he joined Sunbeam Glassworks under glassblower Gary Nash, becoming the studio’s main production blower for a decade. A 1994 workshop with Richard Marquis and Dante Marioni introduced him to Italian glass techniques, particularly murrine and twisted cane, which have defined his practice for three decades. He ran his own studio from 2012 to 2025, has held 18 solo shows and over 80 group exhibitions, with work in major public and private collections worldwide.
